Short version: we collect the information you give us to manage your Roadster reservation, plus limited technical data needed to run this website. We do not sell your personal information, and we use optional cookies only with your permission. You can access, correct or delete your information at any time by writing to [email protected].

1. Who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses and protects personal information when you visit reservation-roadster.us (the "Site"), submit a reservation, or otherwise interact with us online. It applies to information collected through the Site and related email and text-message communications. It does not apply to information collected offline or by third-party websites we may link to.

[COMPANY LEGAL NAME] is the business responsible for your personal information. Our mailing address is [MAILING ADDRESS].

2. Notice at Collection

The table below summarizes the categories of personal information we collect (and have collected in the preceding 12 months), why we collect them, how long we keep them, and whether they are sold or shared. Category names follow the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA"), as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act.

We do not collect sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, financial account details, precise geolocation, or government ID) through the Site, and we do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would give you a right to limit it under the CCPA.

3. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Reservation details: first and last name, email address, ZIP code, optional phone number, paint and wheel preference, purchase timeframe, and any message you choose to include.
  • Consents: your agreement to our Terms of Use, and whether you opted in to marketing emails and/or calls and texts, including the date, time and wording of that consent.
  • Correspondence: the content of emails or messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser and operating system type, device identifiers, language, referring page, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit. Our hosting provider collects some of this in standard server logs.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: strictly necessary storage that remembers your cookie choices and, only if you allow it, analytics or marketing cookies. See our Cookie Policy.

Information from other sources

We may receive limited information from service providers that help us operate (for example, email-delivery status such as bounces or unsubscribes) and from publicly available sources to keep contact information accurate.

4. How we use information

  • To receive, record and manage your reservation, and to contact you about it;
  • To send you updates about the Roadster if you opted in, and to honor your unsubscribe requests;
  • To respond to your questions and provide customer support;
  • To plan production, allocation and regional availability in aggregate;
  • To operate, maintain, secure and improve the Site, including detecting and preventing fraud, spam and abuse;
  • To understand, in aggregate, how the Site is used (only with your consent for non-essential analytics);
  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our Terms of Use, and protect our rights and the rights of others;
  • For any other purpose disclosed to you at the time we collect the information, or with your consent.

We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.

5. How we disclose information

We disclose personal information only as described below:

  • Service providers and contractors that process information on our behalf under written contracts restricting their use of it — for example, website hosting, form processing, email and SMS delivery, customer-relationship management, IT security, and (if you allow it) analytics.
  • Authorized retail partners that may handle final configuration, sale or delivery in your region, only to the extent needed to follow up on your reservation and only after you ask to proceed.
  • Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena or other legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of us, our users or others.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization or sale of assets, subject to this Policy or an equally protective one.
  • With your consent or at your direction.

No sale of personal information

We do not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If you enable marketing cookies, certain online identifiers may be made available to advertising partners for cross-context behavioral advertising, which California law calls "sharing." This is off by default and you can switch it off at any time on Your Privacy Choices.

6. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and browser storage as described in our Cookie Policy. Optional cookies are loaded only after you accept them in our cookie banner or preferences panel. You can change your choice at any time using the "Cookie settings" link in the footer.

7. Your choices

  • Marketing email: click "unsubscribe" in any marketing email or write to [email protected]. We may still send you non-marketing messages about your reservation.
  • Calls and text messages: reply STOP to any text to opt out, or HELP for help. Consent to calls and texts is never a condition of a reservation or purchase.
  • Cookies: use "Cookie settings" in the footer, adjust your browser settings, or enable Global Privacy Control.
  • Cancel your reservation: email [email protected] from the address you used, with the subject "Cancel reservation."

8. Your U.S. state privacy rights

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the rights below. Residents of California, and of other states with comprehensive consumer privacy laws (including Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah and Virginia), can exercise these rights as provided by their state law. To keep things simple, we extend these rights to all U.S. users where reasonably possible.

  • Right to know / access: the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you, the sources, the purposes, and the categories of third parties to whom we disclosed it.
  • Right to delete personal information we collected from you, subject to legal exceptions.
  • Right to correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Right to data portability: a copy of your information in a portable, readily usable format.
  • Right to opt out of the sale of personal information, "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising, targeted advertising, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
  • Right to limit the use of sensitive personal information — we do not use sensitive personal information in a way that triggers this right.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not deny you a reservation, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights.

How to submit a request

Email [email protected] or use the request form on Your Privacy Choices. To opt out of sharing, you can also use the toggle on that page or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.

Verification and authorized agents

To protect your information, we will verify your identity before fulfilling a request to know, delete or correct, usually by confirming control of the email address associated with your reservation. You may use an authorized agent; we will ask for written proof of the agent's authority and may ask you to verify your identity directly, except where the agent holds a valid power of attorney.

Response times

We will confirm receipt within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to an additional 45 days, as permitted by law), we will tell you why.

Appeals

If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision or emailing [email protected] with the subject "Privacy appeal." We will respond in writing within the period required by your state's law (generally 45–60 days). If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may contact your state Attorney General.

9. California "Shine the Light"

California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request information about personal information disclosed to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes in the preceding calendar year. We do not disclose personal information to third parties for their own direct-marketing purposes. Requests may be sent to [email protected].

10. Nevada residents

We do not sell "covered information" as defined in Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A. Nevada residents may nonetheless submit an opt-out request to [email protected].

11. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

We treat a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of personal information and targeted advertising for that browser. When we detect GPC, marketing cookies stay off and cannot be enabled from that browser. Because there is no common industry standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not respond to them separately; GPC is honored as described above.

12. Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy — generally for the life of your reservation plus 24 months, or until you ask us to delete it — unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example, records of your consent to communications, which we may keep for up to 5 years to demonstrate compliance). Server logs and analytics data are kept for up to 14 months. When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

13. Data security

We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls and vendor due diligence. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we learn of a security incident affecting your personal information, we will notify you as required by law.

14. Children's privacy

The Site is intended for adults aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, as defined by the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), or from anyone under 18 for a reservation. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

15. Text messaging

If you opt in to calls and texts, we use your phone number only to communicate about your reservation. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in data and consent are not shared with or sold to third parties or affiliates for their marketing purposes. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel or HELP for help.

16. Third-party links and services

The Site may contain links to websites or services operated by others, such as social media platforms. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies, and we are not responsible for them.

17. Users outside the United States

The Site and reservations are intended for residents of the United States. If you access the Site from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States, where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.

18. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date above and, if the changes are material, notify you by email (if we have your address) or by a notice on the Site before the change takes effect. We review this Policy at least once every 12 months.
